Welcome to my website!

I appreciate you taking the time to come learn about what I do and who I am.  I love helping people find their passion. Each of us is born with a special skill and part of what I do is help individuals discover those skills and how to best apply them.

I was born and raised in Southeast Oklahoma. I earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma and my Masters of Arts in Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. I moved to Texas in 1985 with my husband.  We settled in Carrollton in 1989 and began raising our two children.

In 1999, I returned to graduate school to pursue my passion of becoming a counselor.  Six years later, I completed the requirements and received my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure to begin helping others on their journey of healing. My expertise include: working with individuals who suffer from grief of any kind, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and general life situations. As a practicing LPC, the valuable skills gained from previous work in social services, mental health, and education have uniquely equipped me to engage in a variety of roles, ranging from direct-client service, to program direction and administration to private practice. Merging my practical experiences with areas of expertise, my Christ-centered therapy focuses on taking preventative action to equip my patients to handle whatever challenge life brings them.  I am member of the American Counseling Association and Texas Counseling Association.
